ROLE: Divisional Director - Southern Division

CONTRACT: Full-Time, Permanent Role

SALARY: Highly competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package

BASE: This is a hybrid/field-based role covering the Southern Division of our Trade Branch Network

We are delighted to be recruiting a Divisional Director to lead the Southern Division of our award-winning Trade Branch Network.  This is a Senior Managerial role, with full accountability for the delivery of all branch targets, objectives and results from an allocated division of branches.

 

Our Divisional Directors are responsible for leading a team of Regional Managers to deliver commercial success and increased market share, and are accountable for leading all resourcing, divisional management, and the deployment of branch strategy to achieve both short term delivery and the longer term growth of sales, margin and sales objectives for their Division of our Trade Branch Network.

 

WHAT OUR DIVISIONAL DIRECTORS DO:

  • Lead, motivate, co-ordinate and manage a team of Regional Managers to deliver excellence in terms of commercial success, growth, and development

  • Ensure that resources of appropriate quality (people, financial, and assets) are identified and developed to align with strategic direction, standards and requirements

  • Collaborate with Support Office and Central Operations to develop policies, plans and approaches to drive profitable sales growth

  • Ensure all agreed policies and plans are delivered and adopted effectively within the branch network

  • Execute strategic reviews of activity to ensure alignment of objectives

  • Monitor the deployment and effectiveness of continuous improvement, ensuring CI initiatives are identified and adopted

  • Monitor external and competitor activity Identify best practice and implement new structures, processes, approaches and best practice to improve the performance of the branch network

  • Ensure effective management of supply chain to meet operational demands at minimum stock holding and cost

  • Set, manage and optimise branch network budgets, cost forecasts, and control expenditure and optimum use of resources

  • Monitor regional branch performance and achievements

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR DIVISIONAL DIRECTORS: 

  • A full driving license is essential

  • Strong people leadership and development experience

  • Exceptional commercial acumen

  • Knowledge of trade branch processes, competitor activity and branch processes and culture

  • Good product knowledge, market knowledge, sales skills and Regional Management experience

  • Previous experience of overall accountability for accountability for delivery of all divisional branch targets, objectives and branch results

  • Strong stakeholder management expertise, adept at managing inter-departmental collaborations
