ROLE: Manufacturing Manager
HOURS: 40 per Week - Permanent Role
SALARY: c£70,000, bonus, and company car/allowance
BONUS/OTE: Annual Bonus

We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our thriving primary manufacturing site based in Somercotes, Alfreton, where we manufacture / extrude our market leading PVC-u products.
This is a key role within our Operations Team, and will be responsible for supporting and driving key performance indicators across the Manufacturing function, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to cost. The successful candidate will have strategic and tactical responsibility to implement the manufacturing strategy and operational goals to align with our Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory key performance indicators.
WHAT OUR MANUFACTURING MANAGERS DO:
- Establish a safe and healthy work environment, mitigating risks, and safeguarding employee well-being withing an extrusion environment
- Provide leadership across all areas of responsibility, coach, mentor and develop direct reports and build a high performing team
- Create and implement a best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of cost, quality and delivery targets
- Contribute towards the overall business strategy and annual budget process
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop new manufacturing processes, eliminate waste and improve process efficiency
- Deploy practical hands-on problem-solving tools and techniques using short interval control methodology to ensure problems are solved quickly and effectively
- Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
- Translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives including KPIs
- Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR MANUFACTURING MANAGERS:
- Previous experience working with in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing / production environment
- Previous experience of implementing a strong CI culture
- Strong leadership experience, with a focus on leading, developing, and building high performing teams
- A solid understanding of SHE, and on-site policies and procedures
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem solving skills
- Full, current UK driving licence
- Previous engineering background could be an advantage, but not essential
