Job description
ROLE: Recycling Operative
HOURS: 4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights
HOURLY RATE: £11.64 per hour, increasing after 12 week training period, plus excellent benefits

WHAT OUR RECYCLING OPERATIVES DO:
- Identifies and rectifies process and production related problems.
- Understand the various process’s within the recycling department.
- Ensures that the production line is ran to the specification and standards required.
- Understands the production process and how to carry out modifications to the running parameters of the production lines in order to ensure that the line is ran efficiently.
- Able to strip, clean and set up component parts of the line.
- Be pro-active with regards to the process’s operations, safety of others and themselves.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure that the products produced meet the specifications laid out.
- Ensure that the products produced are packaged correctly and are identified correctly.
- Ensures that the correct raw materials are loaded onto or into the machine as and when required.
- Ensures materials are efficiently sorted with minimal wastage whilst maintaining high output.
- Ensures metals are effectively removed from the plant whilst maintaining high outputs and protecting the equipment from damage.
- Ensures waste is disposed of correctly and accounted for

Good communication skills

Good decision making skills
Experience within the plastics recycling industry desirable
Heavy lifting is a part of this role
