ROLE: Regional SHE Manager

HOURS: 40 per Week - Permanent Role

SALARY: £41,500 - £44,000 plus Company Car

BASE: Field Based - Area coverage from Birmingham, down to the South and Penzance

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Regional Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Manager to support the Southern Division of our Award-Winning Trade Branch Network, to help implement and drive our safety, health and environmental aims.

WHAT OUR REGIONAL SHE MANAGERS DO: 

• Work collaboratively with management and operational teams and provide high-quality specialist guidance, support, technical and analytical services

• Proactively work to facilitate improvements in individual safety behaviours, and drive a positive health and safety culture

• Lead, guide, advise and support in the effective identification and management of risks, resolution of issues and non-conformances and investigation and management of incidents

• Monitor and report on branch health and safety performance through relevant observations, audits and data analysis to drive positive improvements in safety standards

• Strive for improvements in our environmental performance and support any initiatives to aid their success

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR REGIONAL SHE MANAGERS:

• A full, clean UK driving licence

• NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards it

• A proactive, dynamic approach

• Previous experience of working within a Health and Safety related role, with experience in delivering internal SHE training

• A logical, analytical and investigative approach to problem solving and identification of root cause, and auditing skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, able to engage and influence

• Good understanding of governing health and safety legislation, with the ability to produce written safety communications

• Knowledge and experience of effectively managing workplace hazards, completing Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and producing Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

• Basic knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management approaches

• Previous experience within a trade/retail/warehouse environment could be beneficial, but is not essential
